We were on the way from doctor’s office to home. I saw ERT Van ahead of me. We had a chat on Covid after seeing the ERT vehicle. I saw a blink of flash on my mirror, it was a COP and gave way to COP. Both the vehicles turned into our residential area. I simply followed them & it almost lead to our neighborhood and parked next to 3 or 4 doors. I was so curious to check whether someone was affected by Covid near us and I checked. We came to know that a handyman who worked continuously for more than a day to complete a work without having any food was at risk. He worked aggressively to complete the work because he had newborn baby and he want to go and see the baby and Mom. If he defers the work, then the payment will be given only after the completion of work. The travel also gets cost for him because he cannot spend enough time if he goes without completing the work. This made him to faint and be breathless. Then the house owner called emergency team but in a brief while he recovered. She was so worried on hearing the situation of that handyman. She felt that the man should have been with his family on such a cherishing and delightful moment. The crunch of money had pushed him to such a state. Immediately she decided to endow him a monetary gift. And she asked me to give him soon but not known by any other person. I said that we will give him tomorrow as it was the end of the day. Again, the next day we had an urgent appointment with the doctor. But she had an exemplary act of urging me to provide him at that dire time. Her talk and thoughts at that time showed a deep grief if she misses to give him. Then I gave the present and wished the handyman behalf of her. I want to illuminate that those days were very painful, and we need to visit doctor’s office daily. But she was very keen to fulfill that handyman’s need than her pounding days. She was engrossed to give the perquisite present even in her persecution.
